I am grateful for my friends.
I’m one of those people who likes to be alone. I’m a writer, I suppose that’s par for the course. I like to ponder in my alone-ness. I’m good like that. I’m not especially social nor do I take enough time to hang out with friends.
But my friends and family are always there for me whether I’m paying attention or not. And I think that’s what amazed me most when I released my first book into the world at the end of October. The number of friends and family who rallied around the fact that I had published something and bought the darn thing was amazing.
I didn’t think anyone would really care very much about this little book. I mean, the time I took to write it was time away from family and friends, and yet everyone was excited for me.
It gave me that nice fuzzy feeling inside. I love my friends and my family for all their support that they give me whether it’s while I’m writing, publishing or just sick with the flu. I love you guys. Thanks for making me feel so very important. 🙂
A special Thank You to the Indelibles for hosting this great event!
To celebrate the joy of thanksgiving, I’m giving away an ebook and a paperback copy of Gangsterland to two thankful commenters.
What are you the most thankful for?
